For weeks there have been lots of rumors that Gitmo is being prepared for an influx of new high profile prisoners. An M.P. contingent from the Arizona National Guard has just been sent to Gitmo. Apparently both Sessions and Mattis have visited there recently. I read somewhere that a pre-fab building new attorney client rooms have been requested. I’ve also read the last national defense authorization bill contained explicit provisions allowing for indefinite civilian detention and trials in military courts under certain conditions. Is all of this connected and does it mean anything significant?
The only other information we have is a large number of flights with transponders turned off on a flight path to and from Guantanamo. There seem to be some people missing....
