Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California, where nearly one out of five residents is poor. Fifty years ago, California was the Golden State and led the nation in many positive categories. But in spite of that and all its natural resources and favorable climate, the state has managed to fritter it all away through massive legal and illegal immigration and by morphing from a conservative to a whacked out liberal state.

States should ask for residuals from movies when the film industry uses locations...

instead of giving tax breaks, get some money coming in.

I loved visiting SoCal in the 1980’s. Didn’t get to questionable areas, though.

I just cannot believe voters are so stupid.

But then again, I could not believe my eyes in 2008 nor in 2012.

Yep, my two visits to California were in 1978 and 1983. It was great, but I've had no desire to visit again at anytime during the past twenty or so years.

‘The generous spending, then, has not only failed to decrease poverty; it actually seems to have made it worse.’

California has 25% of the US homeless population...

Let’s move the wall to the east coast of California!
