I’ve never understood why academia has this attraction to communism. they would have an extreme reduction in pay and live in mostly poverty under communism, yet they love, embrace and promote communism. Doesn’t make any sense
Liberals and their ilk are mature adults who lack the sense not to pee into the wind.
They are there because the communist made a point of infiltrating and indoctrinating them to be there.

Academia don’t really work
Zero sweat or sweat equity
Once you’re in you’re pretty much set forever
Salary in mid 100s
Plus grant money and benefits most folks only dream over
Vested pensions like a teamsters honcho
Average full tenured professor retires by early 60s as a multi millionaire for work that is fairly leisure
Except for medical school professors and associates
They work their asses off
They have a commitment to Idealism. But they live in a cultured and cloistered environment as does a clam in a cultured pearl farm. All is designed to produce only non-contrarian thought produced only by peer reviewed literature and research. This research is not designed to produce other than a regurgitation of old thought (approved) and the mass of peer reviewed redundant research is used as the ‘weight’ of the evidence to further justify their stagnant thought.
Higher education with few exceptions ( like a Hillsdale ) is designed to recreate itself generation to generation to justify the positions and status of ‘right’ thinking people.
Academia is attracted to Communism because, like their teaching careers, Communism never has to show results to be considered viable.
It only needs useful idiots, of which there will always be a ready supply.
