House committee document could mean trouble for anti-Trump “deep statists”
Powerline ^ | January 18, 2018 | Paul Mirengoff

Sara Carter reports on a classified document that was released to all members of the House today. The document seems to be a compilation of information, prepared by House intelligence committee staff, relating to the anti-Trump dossier, the FBI, the warrant to conduct surveillance on members of the Trump campaign, and the use of that warrant.

Carter calls the document a bombshell. Her sources say its revelations might lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, and perhaps even to the criminal prosecution of some. They also say, less plausibly, that the revelations could lead to the end of Robert Mueller’s investigation into

President Trump and his associates.

What information does the classified document contain? We don’t know yet. It’s classified.

This needs to be declassified NOW if it has not already been. Call your elected and demand to have this document released to the public. "Republican members such as Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz intend to press for the declassification and release of the document to the public. The success of this effort will depend, as I understand it, on cooperation from the Department of Justice."

Traitors in our midst. Cleanse us of them. Invest in rope futures (after fair trials, of course).

If the situation was reversed, and the meme had bad stuff on Trump and the Republicans, it would be front page NYT, WaPO, LAT and ABCNNBCBS......................

I believe POTUS has the power to classify and de-classify.

Ball is in Trump’s hands.

The very fact that some House members are calling for its release rather than stating that the DOJ is now acting on it probably indicates it is a lot less of a smoking gun than most wish.

I predict that our feckless Republican friends will bend over again and decide that it’s in the best interest of the American public that this ‘controversial, provocative’ document is too much of a hot potato for us to digest.

It won’t be released. We’ll get sanitized summaries, passed-off as the essential, ‘need-to-know’ information that will, in effect, allow the truth to remain just beneath the surface. Aside from a few harrumphs here and there, it’ll be forgotten in a week.

I hate all this. It sucks. But if I had to bet, it would be that nothing comes of this.

I’ll still bet nothing will happen. The lib have not unleashed their (totally not secret) MSM fake news team. All are crack(ed) troops having achieved doctorate status in lying (and assaulting women).

Is there info in the FISA Memo that reveals the Deep State used covert operations to provoke North Korea in the hopes of starting a war? I thought I read this somewhere when all this first came out.

How many times has the media breathlessly run with a Friday story claiming that heads are going to roll only to have Monday come with the sound of crickets?

These cliff hanger stories are as bad as the un-named sources.

40 members calling for release now? Dave Joyce ‏ Verified account @RepDaveJoyce 1m1 minute ago More I had the opportunity to read the classified report relating the FBI, FISA & possible Russian collusion in the 2016 elections. What I read was truly disturbing. I have always advocated for more transparency, which is why I joined 40+ colleagues signing a letter to #ReleaseTheMemo

——We paid for that memo-—

Actually, we not only don’t know who authored the memo, but we don’t know if it was government or one of the private entities.
