Since his release he had no further encounters with law enforcement officials until four ICE officers arrested him on his way to work on Jan. 3. Montrevil has four children who live in New York and has lived in the United States for 30 years. What the article fails to mention is that Montrevil was supposed to report to ICE for a check-in back on July 20th of 2017 when his green card expired. He was arrested because he never showed up, which is why he is now illegal and was deported.
He gave ICE the finger and they responded in kind.
