NSA failed to preserve some data related to surveillance court case: report
The case was back during the Bush era, but then there's this sentence in the article that seems like a red flag to me:
The spy agency also revealed to the court that backup tapes of the intercepted communications were also erased in 2009, 2011 and 2016, according to Politico.
Hmmmmmmm ... wonder if this "honest mistake" will pop up as an issue with what is currently going on.

Once you read that you realzie that our govt. has been run by a secret govt. for decades now. Stuff like missing docs, erased tapes, killings, no justice here or there, was just SOP and has only been stemmed since Trump came into office.He may change the entire equation. We can only hope.
