we have 51 votes in the Senate but need 60 to keep the govt. from being sabotaged by illegal loving demoncrats.

When Richard M. Daley (son of Richard J.) wanted to shut down Miegs Field on the lakefront of Chicago, he had a running battle with the people who did not want to shut down this little airport. The debates ended when Daley sent some construction equipment to cut large X's in the runway. Meigs is gone now.

The same way, the Senate needs to make the Democrats mount an active filibuster of the America First spending bill, so they can continue to brag about how important illegal aliens are to Democrats. Mitch is much too polite for this kind of dirty wet work. Maybe we need to send Mitch some Diet Coke and Big Macs to get his energy level up.

Now he is carrying Schyster Schumer’s water claiming he offered $18 million for the wall. He only offered authorization but not appropriation.

Wallace is lying through his teeth about the appropriation.

YOu just hit on some of the problems we face Bernard. A milquetoast “deep state” Mitch and not much better leading the house.

Not a bad idea. Mickey Ds delivers now. Maybe we should bombard the turtle’s office with “Trump meals.” Think he’d get the message?

my take on the shutdown is Trump, who I’m sure has had many labor relations experiences in his building / contracting businesses views this as a “ strike”.

Sometimes one needs to be taken to break the cycle of brinksmanship that is often at the heart of this.
