I know many like Jennifer Mosbacher. They get their current news from MSNBC, ('my favorite' one told me), CNN, the Networks, Buzzfeed, Yahoo News, Hollywood rags and Facebook. I've noticed a lot of my wife's friends (many are teachers) put a lot of lefty cut and paste sayings on Facebook.
The new found lefties are not stupid, are well educated with advanced degrees. A friend of my wife, a rabid leftist, has a PhD. She is livid with Trump. There's no talking with her.
It is difficult to have a conversation with them as they immediately get defensive and revert to the buzzwords of sexist, racist or a hater? I still attempt to try and educate them in various ways. I gave one of Levin's books to one a while back. Don't know if she read it.
Education is the Key. Do your best with the young folks. My first 'education' book on politics was The Naked Communist, by W. Cleon Skousen when I was 13. Certainly woke me up. Levin's books are good. I give them to young folks here and there. Levin's 'Liberty and Tyranny' the best for kids if you're only going to give one book.
The left works day in and day out, 24/7. We have to do the same. I close with a quote from Levin on gradualism from the left:

The easiest to convert to a totalitarian cause under the guise of ‘’for the children’’, ‘’for the environment’’, etc. are women. Women make the most rabid and dangerous totalitarians if they are appealed to in the manner you describe. They are also the most violent. Women who can kill a child in the womb or advocate it have no compunction what so ever about killing.
