Trump knew all this back in 11/2016. Actually, according to some rumored accounts

I'll give you an earlier date.

I wonder about Trump's Aug. 30, 2016, campaign trip to California, when he met and campaigned with Devin Nunes.

Many of us here wondered at the time why Trump was wasting his time campaigning in California.

Meanwhile Trump was getting a face to face meeting with the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. I wonder what they really talked about.

Exceptional recall! I'd forgotten about that! In hindsight, Nunes would likely have known about the rumblings that led up to the DoJ crying uncle at the FISC ;)

October 2012, Trump offers 5 million dollars for Obama’s records , IMHO, was a turning point and after what was revealed to him made him realize that the country was one president away from destruction.

This was at least one reason for Trump to decide to run.

Now that is interesting and a good insight. Tiny agricultural backwater Tulare would not be on a presidential candidate's normal list of stops. How many times did Trump forego a campaign rally?

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) 8/30/16 -- Donald Trump's presidential campaign swings through the Valley on Tuesday as he sets to meet with Republicans in Tulare.

No rallies are scheduled at this time. Just a private fundraiser at a home in Tulare. Attendees are paying a minimum of $2,700 per person just to be at the luncheon. But some guests are forking up $25-thousand for a VIP meeting with Trump.

Details on the location and arrival remain confidential for security reasons. But we do know the event is being put on by pistachio grower Corky Anderson.

Congressman Devin Nunes will be in attending the fundraiser. He says this event is expected to be one of the biggest fundraisers in Valley history with Trump expecting to raise as much as $1.5 million.
