Why are these people still employed at FBI and being paid by taxpayer money?? They would have been thrown out, pay stopped at any private firm when this was first discovered, and probably the fact that they wasted time exchanging 50,000 text messages on the job. They should be frog marched out of their ugly FBI fortress.

Have you ever tried to fire a Government employee? I have. It ain't pretty. The tendency is to not even consider it an option after too many futile attempts.

It's extremely frustrating to watch inept employees remain in place.

Dan Bongino was explaining this on his podcast. A government employee can be compelled to testify and can be held criminally and civilly responsible for malfeasance committed while employed. A former employee cannot be held to the same level of culpability. It’s an administrative thing.
