Man, that sux! It happens to us all the time. I hope it moves differently and you get some. I know how depressing it is to be so dried out that it makes your skin feel like scales! Ugh!
My computer is misbehaving big time tonight.....IE is forever “not responding”. So I’m going to try Chrome and see if that helps.
It’s what happens to us all the time too. VERY frustrating. We don’t expect more than a sprinkle IF we get anything at all. We haven’t had an inch of rain for the month and burn bans are starting to be issued in parts of the state east of I-65. The western side of the state has gotten decent rainfall.
Dry skin isn’t fun but even less fun is static. The cats are leery of being petted because they get zapped. LOL
My IE has been slow but I haven’t had trouble with “not responding”.
Chrome seems to work fine but I don’t like the way it’s set up. I only use it to watch livestream that IE won’t show any more.

Yes, the static! My hair will NOT behave when it’s this dry! We get fire warnings every time the wind blows more than 15-20 mph and they aren’t even kidding!

I wear my hair in braids when it’s so dry because it wraps around my face too much. No fun getting choked when it goes into my mouth or nose when I breathe. LOL
They issue burn bans here, wind or no wind, when things get dry to a certain point. A couple of areas I heard about should have their bans lifted after today but we’re still way too dry. It’s a good thing I burned trash the other night.
At the moment, the cats are quiet. WHEW! They’ve been wound up all day and finally ran out of steam. They’ll be back at it after their lil cat naps.
Ghost been a good biy and made an appearance?
No Ghost today. I saw some of the food missing, so assume he ate, but I didn’t see him. I got up later this morning than yesterday, so maybe he gave up on me. LOL!
Are the kitties anticipating the full moon or are they always this way at night? Bursts of energy/
I hope Ghost ate the food and not the black kitty you saw the other day.
The kittehs are always somewhat rowdy but it gets worse around the full and new moons. With the orbit being closer these days, it apparently affects them more.
Strong winds wind them up too. Guess it’s the sound. It’s finally calmed down a bit and that might be why they conked out for a while.
That’s exactly the way I use it, too. But tonight IE is not happy about something, even after rebooting.
I hate Chrome for music because I can’t make the tunes open in Windows Media Player. I’m trying to manage, but I’m frustrated. I might have to ask the IT gurus at work. I might take a look at Firefox, too. *sigh*
I haven’t seen the black kitty again. Maybe its family keeps it closer to home now. He’ll probably be there in the morning, since I have to get up at 7:30-ish. Blech!!
I’ll have to head out soon. I sure have a hard time sitting still without trying to doze if I don’t get enough sleep. Pew bonkin’. LOL!
Bummer. I’m not having near the trouble with it as you are. It just seems a little slower than usual tonight.
I don’t know anything about Firefox. I only got Chrome when IE suddenly stopped playing YouTube livestreams last year and most of the bird cams I watch are on YT.
Since you haven’t seen that cat again, it probably was Ghost who ate the food. Hope so any way. We don’t want that handsome feller going hungry.
At least you slept in late this morning so it doesn’t make too many early mornings in a row.
I’ll be up for a while yet. Been editing MANY scaps I got from bird cams last year, trying to finish them up so I can put them on a CD and off the HD. Gotta make room for this year’s batch! LOL

I took two hours to just sit and read by the front window. It was nice to do nothing.
Cleaned out a kitchen cupboard and got a box packed and picked up from the porch by the mailman.
Later today I need to go out for more duck food. Upwards of 100 are here every evening and I like throwing out cracked corn for them.
WOW! You mean you RELAXED for a little while? LOL

Yikes! I didn’t realize there were that many ducks showing up. I thought it was just a few. You KNOW they’re tickled top death to get goodies from you daily. Do they go up to you and let you pet them?
