Chicagoans in droves are venting their displeasure with former President Barack Obama’s planned library, calling it an “ugly waste of taxpayer resources” and a “dangerous precedent” for the preservation of historic public parklands.
Recent letters to the editor published in the Chicago Tribune overwhelmingly have panned the Obama Presidential Center, which will consume nearly 20 acres from historic Jackson Park and cost taxpayers $100 million in renovations to the surrounding area.

Not at all. When JB Pritzker becomes the new Illinois Guber, and sets up Ill-Annoy to become the epicenter and center of gravity for the Anti-Trump-Resitance-Movement, they will need a headquarters building to run the RICO organization. Since there will be NO documents in Barry’s Lie-Berry, there will be plenty of room for copies of the Pee-Pee-Dossier and other fiction.
But the emperor must have his temple built.
His name is already a by-word for bowel movement.
They should build a remedial education facility in Chicago and name it the “Obama and Ayers Didn’t Build This With The Chicago Annenburg Challenge Grant Money They Frittered Away on Social Justice Programs” Center For Real Learning

REALLY? $310 million dollars a year in revenues and economic activity generated by a Presidential library?

Calling it ugly is an understatement.
I would never hire those architects. Lousy, crappy design.
It’s an eyesore and it’s taking up historical park space with something whose definition has changed since it was first proposed. It’s no longer a library. And the objections have caused one modification. They’re no longer putting the parking lot on the Midway where my mother danced in a chiffon gown while at U of Chicago. Ida Noyes hall still had murals of the dancing students when I went there.
There’s one hope, and that’s the fact that the Feds have to approve it when it’s approved in Chicago by O’s friends. Let’s hope his reputation is tarnished enough by what’s going to come out so that there won’t be massive outrage if the Feds suggest moving it off the Lake.

That is a pretty accurate description of both Obamas.
Looks like a modern day prison .
Sometimes everything works and an absolutely perfect description emerges.
I just looked at the architect’s layout. That is an ugly place...and it looks just about perfect for a mosque. Think about it. I bet the opening on side faces East.
It should be torn down. It is not a library and that is what it was considered and advertized as being. What is it then if not a mosque?
Chicago should tear it down and replace it with affordable housing with available parking.
What are we doing with this visual abomination, er obamaination?
