To suppose your group has suffered, that it could suffer as if it were a person and not a mere entity (an abstraction of persons), and that suffering is therefore transmitted to you because of association is simply unwise, self destructive.

I think you’d prefer widespread forgiveness than an America that goes to hell either all at once or in a seesaw manner. As the Left is far from being obviously entirely convictable under our law, and if the forgiving love of Christ is refused to flow in, the Left that is remaining will only be further energized by hell. Such a victory would be Pyrrhic.

It’s an attempt to do man’s way what we would automatically do if we bowed to the Spirit that comes from the Father. The statue isn’t the sin. It is neutral. It can be put to any use. Idolization is the sin. We need Columbus as a Christian morality story, as prone to both standing and falling as any of the bible’s faith greats. Put his story on a plaque by the statue. The sin and the salvation.

I know a lot of superficials in the Christian world who never go head over heels for Jesus but simply put in a measured duty.
