To denizens of the swamp, McCain included, the loss of institutional confidence in the FBI and DOJ that these memos will and are causing, is an existential threat to the US Government.
This is the stuff of insurrection and revolution. And the impact should not be underestimated.
With that kind of thinking, there’d never be Congressional oversight of the DOJ or FBI.
