Statement from the FBI Agents Association
FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) President Thomas OConnor issued the following statement today:
The men and women of the FBI put their lives on the line every day in the fight against terrorists and criminals because of their dedication to our country and the Constitution. The American people should know that they continue to be well-served by the worlds preeminent law enforcement agency. FBI Special Agents have not, and will not, allow partisan politics to distract us from our solemn commitment to our mission.
Yeah? Prove it. Lets see some of these fine folks come forward and help us weed out the bad apples. (Don’t tell me the folks down the tree don’t know what’s going on!)
Oh, so you are being distracted by partisan politics?
Hmm, oh, it appeared that partisan politics had actually become part of your got damn job description!
So where are all the whistleblowers?
Then let’s see them expel Stroke-it, Mccabre, Comedy, and the rest of the assclowns from their exalted organization.
When they remain Arrogant it only proves that the house cleaner has a lot more work to do.
My bullshit meter just exploded.
The worst thing about the FBI is their arrogance, including their belief that they are a 4th branch of gov’t and not accountable to anyone. Congress needs to disenfranchise them. Redeploy their necessary functions to the US Marshall and DHS. Kill the FBI mythology. Moreover, DOJ should not have an enforcement arm. Let them have to work with an a non-subordinate police agency and visa-versa.
It’s amazing to watch an organization that is made up of attorneys who damned well know the laws of our nation, try to deflect on issues of criminal behavior within the FBI.
I’m not concerned by rank and file FBI Agents, although this legitimately does call to question the matter of ethics on the while agency.
What I am concerned with, it a decayed leadership that thinks they can pull what they did and walk as if nothing had taken place.
Curiously, those who remain silent within and outside of the agency in the face of criminality, seem not to realize they are nothing more than accessories after the fact.
It’s probably true for most of them but a few in high position confused defending the country with defending the interests of one political party. They expected Hillary to win and their misdeeds to never see the light of day. They thought wrong.
To hell with the FBI and its union.
They've been talking to trusted Congressmen and trusted investigative reporters. It's not quite safe enough for them to come out of the shadows. Just be thankful that thee are whistleblowers; and probably plenty of them.
If there are 17 US intelligence agencies, maybe they need to be reorganized according to function.
And judged according to their performance.
The NDA’s they sign as a condition of employment superseded whistleblower laws.
Well, no more giving the rank and file a break...
NDA’s do not protect them from being accessories after the fact.
While I have no doubt that this is accurate for a percentage, however, I few bad apples can spoil, or at best taint, the entire barrel.
But they can make a trap. Disclose the offense, and the charges and consequences may be bigger than saying nothing.
Remember Snowden? The typical response wasn’t that he was wrong about the NSA spying on US citizens, it was that he violated his NDA.
For many of the people working in the agencies, law does not apply. Contracts do.
