A four-page House Intelligence Committee memo alleging abuse of surveillance authority raises immediate questions about former FBI Director James Comeys role in utilizing the infamous, largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier to obtain a FISA court warrant to monitor an individual associated with Donald Trumps 2016 presidential campaign. One glaring possible inconsistency centers on Comeys June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, where he referred to the anti-Trump dossier as containing salacious and unverified material.
Yet, according to the memo crafted by House Republicans, Comey personally signed three FISA court applications utilizing that same dossier that he labeled salacious and unverified eight months later to obtain FISA court warrants to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, who briefly served as a volunteer foreign policy adviser to Trumps 2016 campaign.
The memo documents that on October 21, 2016, the FBI and Justice Department sought and received the FISA order against Page, and that the agencies sought the renewal of the order every 90 days in accordance with court requirements. Renewals require separate finding of probable cause each time, the memo relates.
According to the memo, Comey signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one. Sally Yates, then-Acting Deputy Attorney Gernal Dana Boente, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein signed one or more of the applications on behalf of the Justice Department.

But it was corroborated by Yahoo News! /s
Is the memo the first drip? I’m popping corn.....
Three of them.
Nunes said more memos will be forthcoming. Also, the Senate Judiciary Committee is planning on releasing their own memo(s). Plus IG Horowitz still has to release his report.
The dam is about to burst.
There will be more to come Jim. Sorry but corrupt cops don’t do well behind bars.
A dirty cop is gonna do what a dirty cop do...
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act
Any judge worth his salt would review his court record and any warrant sought by anyone named in the memo would be grounds for arrest and prosecution for civil rights violations just for starters. Not being a prosecuting atty I would take them all into custody for contempt of court until investigations were finished and proper charges could be brought. NOW!
Any U?S. Federal Judges worth a grain of salt? Crickets.........
He’s probably just about as crooked as Hillary now that they’ve done business together, though he probably doesn’t have any bodies to his credit like HRC. We need to get busy and get them both behind bars.
Everyone listed in the memo needs to be indicted, arrested and booked into custody. Before sun up.
It's kind of amazing that DOJ/FBI can walk into a secret court ex parte and present hearsay such as a news clipping from Yahoo! News and thereby obtain a warrant to spy on Americans.
I guess the court must have a very high opinion of the credibility of Yahoo! News. Are there other secret warrants based on, say, TMZ or Perez Hilton?
Lock them all up!
Comey CLEARLY knew about the wiretaps by Obama.
And as it turns out Trump was angry about it.
With good reason.
Trump tweeted about it and was endlessly ridiculed, and was even expected to "apologize" to Obama for such a fanciful tale
We didn't know even a fraction about what Obama was up to.
At the time, Comey would have been seen as a white hat, alerting his boss, the POTUS.
We now know that Comey was a slithering denizen of the swamp.
Not sure why he would tell the POTUS this, when he was up to his ears in corruption.
Trying to save his hide?
Sorry Jim, I just had to include the wookie, it is a star wars parody after all

Ping.
I think he was trying to threaten and blackmail him.
Can’t wait for the chapter about Susan Rice unmasking for Hillary and the State Department goons
