Wouldn’t it be great to wake up in the morning to the news he’d already done it.

No, investigate and charge them with crimes. Let’s see how much work they get done after that.

They’re too stupid to figure that out. They lose every time. Do they really think that the FISA memo is the last chip to play?

What is absolute genius is his ability to understand how the media will react. He plays them, not just like a fiddle but, like an entire orchestra. He knows what they’re going to claim before they even think of it....then has the next step ready to go. In this case it’s probably a load more documents that he’ll expose.

These people thought they could tear him apart because he wasn’t a “seasoned politician”. Well, he’s a seasoned negotiator, unlike one that they’ve ever seen. It appears that this skill “Trump’s” the skill of the typical politician. His SOTU speech was like a machine gun into the corrupt side of the aisle.

He is the Lion.

Wasn’t Flynn set up to violate the never used Logan act? Apparently, Stroeck interviewed him w/o informing him that he was a target. Flynn was on the national security transition team and it is expected he would have contact with Russian officials. At that time, he wouldn’t be acting in the capacity as a private citizen as Kerry is right now undermining US foreign policy by talking to the Palestinians.

The Dems are concerned about exposing FBI sources and methods. Yes, illegal methods.

“This is a goddamned war, the Constitution is out the window, and there is no way to fix this other than a Purge that leaves the domestic enemy in Washington DC DECIMATED and incapable of mounting a counter offensive.”

“I think we have finally figured out why Republicans are so timid. If they dare to cross a line the democrats will unleash the FBI on them (betting that the FBI has files on them all). Yes, republicans are allowed to pretend to be the opposition but they better not become a real opposition force or else.”

That would explain why they did NOTHING to stop Obama and his cabal of maoists for 8 years. They allowed and funded it all. Another good post.

If these two want them around, is all the reason to get rid of them NOW.

I have been saying for years the Clintons have been black mailing there opposition. my first clue was years ago when a Hillary aid was discovered with FBI files on congress shortly after bill took office.

I figure black mail is also how they have held the democrat party together over the last 20 years. that is the reason for all the panic over Hillary not getting in. also I believe that the bush family are just as guilty as the Clintons just better at keeping there fingers from getting dirty because they have been at it longer.

‘I get the sense that the plan is for Sessions to do any firing that is needed (esp. Rosenstein). The Democrats then cry to Trump and Trump can just shrug it off.’

Then Rod Rosenstein is there for the duration. As soon as the memo established that Rosenstein had committed criminal acts, Sessions raced to a mic to praise and defend RR. Sessions loves that guy like a brother.

that seems bizarre. rr seemed to me to act as if he were an unfriendly witness when testifying to congress. also rr seems not to have trump’s support. so now this all seems paradoxical to me... ??

Well here it is straight from Sessions’ mouth:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended his deputy, Rod Rosenstein, on Friday in the face of criticism from the president, who wouldn’t say if he still has confidence in Rosenstein.

Sessions broke from prepared remarks in a speech on human trafficking. He praised Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general who is overseeing the special counsel’s Russia probe, as well as the department’s No. 3 official, Rachel Brand.

Standing on a stage with them, Sessions said both are experienced lawyers and “represent the kind of quality and leadership that we want in the department.”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3628625/posts

[My theory is that it was a culture shock for Sessions to leave the Senate/his comfort zone after so many years. Rosenstein likely played on that, and bolstered Sessions with both flattery and practical help in running the DOJ. At this point Sessions appears to be enamored of RR, and that’s unlikely to change. Jmo.]

I suppose one could infer that with several more memos allegedly in the pipeline, that RR’s discretion in matters will shortly become bounded... (???)

We’d all like to think so. But consider this. The memo that just came out cites Rosenstein’s direct involvement in illegally obtaining a FISA warrant to monitor Trump’s campaign and transition team. Immediately afterward Sessions said that Rosenstein is the kind of person we want in the DOJ.

Doesn’t it look as if Rosenstein has it made in the shade? If illegal activity designed first to defeat candidate Trump, and then to impeach President Trump, caused Sessions to praise Rosenstein, just imagine how enthusiastic Jeff will be if more of the same is revealed.

My casual impression was that RR had had some involvement but it was limited, at least relative to the others.

If we are to believe Q (???), then things will soon sort themselves out.

If we are being misled by Q (or Trump’s publicly communicated sense of confidence), then all bets are off.

At this time I am slightly in favor of believing Q, but it would be difficult for me to ask anyone else to believe in Q.

Maybe RR is a double agent? or playing both sides at once? Confusing...

Rosenstein is most likely exactly what he appears to be: a Trump-hater of the kind that brought the FISA corruption into being. Trump can’t really fire anybody while he’s got the Mueller investigation hamstringing him. They are already accusing Trump of obstruction for firing Comey. If he fires anybody else they’ll go nuts.

It will be interesting to see what happens if Mueller’s investigation ever wraps up. My bet is that Sessions would soon be out of a job.

Meanwhile, here’s a discussion of the law Rosenstein broke. It’s very interesting.

for crtain, a riddle, inside a mystery, wrapped up in an enigma.

anyway one more thought is that instead of firing someone like RR, he (or she) could simply be reassigned— for example, given janitorial duties, with no decrease in pay. that would not be firing (what is bruce ohr doing now??). imho no way someone like RR could remain performing his the responsibilities of his nominal current position if he were to be hit with an OIG indictmentN, such as (per jarrett) abuse of power, 18 usc 242.

As long as Sessions is backing Rosenstein it’s hard to envision anything happening to him. All the IG can do is make a report. He can’t indict anyone.
