The newer breed need less of it. They know, full stop, they are being lied to and the hold out very little hope of living as well as their parents.

Also, they know college is a joke, and are voting with their feet even though it is crammed down their throats every single day.

Cruz has to have an immigration file.
Children born abroad to Americans have to be recognized as Americans. there must have been forms filed.
We need to see what it says.

Born on foreign soil to an American citizen parent serving in the armed forces allows for a Green Card and a potential path to American citizenship.

Ted was born on foreign soil to a non-military ex-patriot married (or not) to a Cubnadian citizen who rejected American citizenship for his first 50 years of living in the USA.

The Ameriasian offspring are more entitled to citizenship since they were fathered by men in the service of their country.

Amerasian Act Public Law 97-359 (Act of 10/22/82) provides for the immigration to the United States of certain Amerasian children. In order to qualify for benefits under this law, an alien must have been born in Cambodia, Korea, Laos, Thailand, or Vietnam after December 31, 1950, and before October 22, 1982, and have been fathered by a U.S. …

I assume he had an immigration file and it would have surfaced when he applied for a passport his senior year in HS.

However, during the 1970-80’s when Eleanor returned to the USA, a passport was not needed to travel to the USA from Canada. Her birth certificate would have sufficed for entry. At some point prior to Ted’s 18th birthday he should have applied for American citizenship and would have been eligible for a US passport.

I suppose these records explain why it took a year and a half to straighten up Ted’s Canadian records once it was discovered that he still held Canadian citizenship while he ran for the R nomination.

As a Canadian child he was entitled to free health care from birth and education in Canada. Certainly there were records that have been sealed in Canada.

Kenyans... Canadians... ... what difference does it make anymore./s

"“Patterson, Declining to Run for Railroad Commission, Knocks Trump"

IF you recall, a lot of us were not real excited about the Donald in Dec. 2015.
I supported and campaigned for Ted Cruz, went to Indiana for 10 days prior to their primary to help him out.

None of that means I'm an anti-Trumper now - he's our President, and I'm plenty happy about it.

Oh, I do recall that FR was split and there was a great deal of ‘healthy antagonism’ between Trump and Cruz supporters. And I attended a large ‘primary watch’ Indiana P. party to view what became the final contest for the R- nomination.

While you have grown to appreciate DJT as our president, there are those never-T’s that will always hold a grudge and put personality / identity before principals and accomplishments.

And there are those with a desperate agenda to not allow Trump to “DRAIN THE SWAMP’ which is why they preferred Cruz to maintain the status quo.
