I vote no, as if I got a vote. A 4th of July parade or Memorial Day parade is different than the country displaying our might for the world to see. The soldiers should get the fame, not a bunch of missiles and tanks running down a highway. The local governments honor their home soldiers with some militaria mixed in. Having Trump "review the troops" is entirely different. For me, it looks like we are trying to look like 3rd world dictators fawning over our newest missile or tank.

I believe the whole world knows we are the bad asses of the whole world bar none without having to show off our stuff. How embarrassing would it be to get about a third of the way through and a truck towing a missile break down or have a flat? It's just unnecessary.

Also, what would we put in the parade? Everyone knows we have artillery. They know we have tanks. How impressive is it to see a 20 ft. missile? Even Mexico has those. Are we really going to dry dock a nuclear submarine and tow it down Pennsylvania Avenue to show the world ours is bigger than yours? This is very expensive silliness. The whole reason Russia, China, N. Korea and others do this is they are insecure.

Another thing to think about is a fighter having to bail out over Washington due to not enough spare parts with the emaciated Defense Budget. I vote no.

If you always look for an excuse to not do something, you will always find one.

Obviously you are 100% against ordinary risk. Do you ever go out in the rain?
