I have heard about that third option, before.

"Can Trump appoint Brand’s (3rd in line AG) replacement or does Sessions or Rosenstein get to do it?"

Rachel Brand is resigning, reportedly for a job in the private sector.

Any trial is at least two years away. No such thing as a speedy trial. How could you get a trial during Midterms? the arrest would have taken place in late 2015. Look at the Awan Clan. Only charged with bank fraud. It has been 8 months since Arrest. So far they have had 1 actual court date for a preliminary plea. Everything else has been postponed or removed from the Calendar completely.

He doesn’t want or need the job. That’s the problem. No intelligent person wants to step into the swamp with all its attendant smears and destruction of reputation. I have a feeling we’re stuck with Jeff. Sadly, he is pleasing nobody.

America is on her death bed and Sessions is shooting potassium chloride into her IV.

Are you sure about April? of what year?

First it was the first of the year and then it was March and now we are going for April? Sorry but people are putting to much faith in an I.G. report and besides is it the Attorney Generals job to uphold the law of the land or is it only if some I.G. okays it?

Sessions has been asked by Congress many times in the past several months to appoint a special counsel and what has he done in response to the people elected to oversee the FBI and DOJ? Zip, Nada, nothing.

Bottom line: Jeffery B. Sessions is useless!

Most investigations (if not all) are NOT carried out by the AG, that is a job for other members of the DoJ and the US District Attorneys.

The recusal does not mean Hillary is not going to be investigated particularly since most of her skullduggery has nothing to do with Russia.

“So why does the IG have unlimited time to make a report? Has been investigating for years.”

Maybe you can’t count to one, the rest of us can. Jeff was confirmed Feb 8 2017. One year ago not two years!

Are you guys/gals getting paid for your constant anti Sessions’ bs?

Jeff Sessions Confirmed as Attorney General, Capping Bitter Battle ...
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/.../jeff-sessions-attorney-general-confirmation.html
Feb 8, 2017 - WASHINGTON — Senator Jeff Sessions was confirmed on Wednesday as President Trump’s attorney general, capping a bitter and racially charged nomination battle that crested with the procedural silencing of a leading Democrat, Senator Elizabeth Warren. Mr. Sessions, an Alabama Republican, survived ...

Sessions certainly was a respected senator so it’s hard to belieive he suddently transformed into a total incompetent, or worse. I have listened to the crimes of the Clintons for probably close to 30 years and I’m as sick of it as the next guy but what is the exact process that will bring them down? I don’t know. The congress seems to have the will to expose them but they have no power to indict anyone. We also all know there is no way to get a conviction of the Clintons in DC because it’s all Democrats so exactly how do we get accountability out of them?

It would be easy to have an ongoing trial during the Mid-terms. Eight months after the arrest would be an excellent time to make the move. Any VERDICT is two years away but not a trial.

Most investigations (if not all) are NOT carried out by the AG, that is a job for other members of the DoJ and the US District Attorneys.

Of course the AG doesn't actually go into the court room and prosecute the cases. However all work in the DOJ flows down from the AG. With Sessions recused, the work then flows down from crooked Rod Rosenstein.

The recusal does not mean Hillary is not going to be investigated particularly since most of her skullduggery has nothing to do with Russia.

Sessions is recused for all investigations connected to Hillary. That leaves Rod Rosenstein in charge.

The crimes of Hillary and company are indisputable. Sessions needs to be perp walked out of the DOJ as a warning signal to the rest of the deep state players. Where are you Mr. President? You need to do your job and can this Traitor you chose as AG. It’s past time already to act or the Clintons are going to get away again and at your expense Mr. Trump.

Sessions has not been asked by CONGRESS to appoint a special prosecutor. He may have been asked (informally) by certain CONGRESSMEN to do so.

Your post is what is “useless” unless the goal is to undermine the Administration.
