Between 1982 and 2017, 92 of 95 mass shootings in the US were carried out by men, and only three involved a woman.
After another mass shooting in a school, Americans are seeking to solve the problem of gun violence.
Nikolas Cruz has been charged with 17 counts of murder after a shooting at his old school, where he had been expelled for "disciplinary reasons".
Of 95 mass shootings carried out in the US between 1982 and 2017, 92 of the perpetrators were male.
The final three are made up of two women, and one case of one man and a woman working together, in the San Bernardino attack in December 2015.
The shootings broken down by race, by Statista, show that 54 of the gunmen were white, 16 black, and seven each Latino or Asian.

I’d say based on the general population one group is over represented.
Crazy doesn’t care about race or sex.

So whites are now 63 percent of the population, yet committed 59 percent of the mass shootings. Yet we’re more likely to commit mass shootings? Someone has been doing too much new math.
I guess what’s going on in Chicago doesn’t qualify.
Are we just ignoring all the brown muslims shooting/bombings/truck and car attacks/etc.?

Because men are more likely than women to do this and whites are nearly 80% of the population.

Since a mass-shooting is defined by four or more victims, this statistical study needs to refocus on Chicago, particularly the weekends.

I don't see how any of those percentages are surprising. It used to be (until the 1990s or so) that almost all mass murderers were white men. If this data indicates anything, it's that this is no longer the case.
I am shocked there have been only 95, given the coverage these crimes get.
