A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia on Friday indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities accused of interfering in U.S. elections.

The announcement came from the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

According to the special counsel, the indictment charges the defendants with conspiracy to defraud the United States, three defendants with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud and five defendants with aggravated identity theft.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is scheduled to hold a press conference Friday afternoon.

“Nope, just not clueless and I refuse to try and divide the Administration”

Wow, that’s a laugh, like it isn’t divided already! As soon as Trump is “unshackled” by Mueller investigation, look for Sessions and Rosenschmeckel to go byebye! And unless he shows Trump more than he has to date, Wray will be going too.

“So insecure and inept they are in building/foritfying their own institutions - that they have nothing better left to do than sabotage that of countries they envy and resent the most.”

As far as I know Mueller found no evidence the Russian government was involved, or that the scheme had any measurable effect.

No matter the substantial issues with the Russian election system, it seems to do a pretty good job of reflecting the wishes of the Russian people.

Of course, some would argue the Russian people are too stupid to know what’s good for them.

I am not one of those.

“Sessions will be shown the door as soon as Molehead and Rosenweasel conclude this charade. And rightfully so. So Jeffy better have his resume updated! :-)”

And Wray better either start doing the housecleaning job at the FBI or begin polishing up his resume.
I’d opt for Trump directing Sessions to appoint another special counsel with specific guidelines going after internal corruption at the DOJ/FBI, and reopening the Uranium One, Benghazi, Clinton and maybe even Obama investigations. And furthermore, specifically eliminate Rosenschmeckel from any involvement whatsoever. ( make him recuse himself at the outset).

Sessions has been arresting and deporting more ICE eligible Illegals than anyone in our history. But you clowns are more concerned with publicity than results. As if you have knowledge of what is happening in the DoJ when you don’t.

Sessions is not going to be fired so you can forget that.

“Polls” don’t capture all the complexity or dynamics at work.

Russians are not stupid, I never said that...but many sold their souls to Putin for ill-intentioned reasons: willingly and knowingly exchanging freedom for economic promises.

One notable group are people who protested him on the streets of Moscow/St. P in 2011-2012 when he unconstitutionally returned to power following Medvedev.

Those same protesters then jumped on the Putin bandwagon when Russia annexed Crimea and Russia began incursions into East Ukraine, from which they haven’t left.

Crimea - still popular. The other stuff along with stagnating economy? Not so much. Those same people want Putin out again. But they’ve so compromised all their freedoms, there is very little of a democratic process left as Putin has become more repressive each time he’s retaken power.

Hmmm these guys started around 2014...

Trump didn’t announce to 2015 and no one really took him seriously - ESPECIALLY his Primary opponents and as they took swipes at him he came back and ‘destroyed’ them.

Remember for a while ANYONE who wanted to make the 6oclock news would take a swipe a DJT around 8, DJT would knock them back on tweet by noon and the story would lead....

I guess my main question is..
HOW MANY OF THESE RUSSIANS INFILTRATED FR to cause hate and discontent????

Also, why all this poo poo about the Russians? just before the 2012 elextion BO told mitt that this wasn’t the 60 or 80s, Russia was NOT a threat...

Also, to add to the hypocrisy how can all those libs that are CRYING for the CHILDREN make that statement and support abortions on demand???

“Sessions has been arresting and deporting more ICE eligible Illegals than anyone in our history.”

Sessions has had NOTHING to do with that. The Department of Homeland Security does NOT report to the DOJ. It has it’s own cabinet-level director, Kirstjen Nielsen, who is the one who is kicking a$$ and deporting people. Your first order of business S/B to get an Executive Branch Org Chart and begin to really understand who’s doing what. But for certain, you won’t find Sessions doing anything but taking his paycheck under false pretenses.
I will give you that your handle fits you, you are arrogant, but as far as the SOB part is concerned, it’s probably a figment of your imagination.

Honestly, nevermind. You’re the type that won’t see the truth until Putin’s impending demise finally materializes. In the meantime, you will have good company on these forums with the Russian infiltrators - not from Mueller’s list, but the ones which have been operating on FR for quite some time now. Not dangerous, but telling as to how vulnerable people’s minds became during the disenchanting Obama years.

Go and scan thru the first few pages of the indictment and you’ll
find a lot of this was done from off shore operations false names,
companies, fake info, etc. Charged and convicted may be two complete
results. But it should be examined, imo.

If Russians were so “confident” in their situation, they wouldn’t as involved in American affairs to the extent as it is being revealed... they’d be busy overseeing a booming economy, their own compelling nailbiter elections, hosting public debates about their Soviet legacy without censoring films about Stalin or sending Gulag archivists to the mental asylum...They’d be building untouchable alliances with other successful (not rogue) countries etc...

And they probably wouldn’t be in Syria or East Ukraine.

If Russia really interfered with our elections, it would be an act of war in my mind.

I first thought of it as an act of war.

It was aggressive.

It was designed to bring down a president.

It was operated to make Americans lose faith in their government. (But the progressives have been successfully doing that for years.)

Consider it a Russian attack on America, approved by Putin.

“In the meantime, you will have good company on these forums with the Russian infiltrators - not from Mueller’s list, but the ones which have been operating on FR for quite some time now”

That’s rich, coming from somebody who is not a natural born citizen of the US, and who has never served in the armed forces of the US.

As almost all whom you accuse have.

You’re a disgrace, and you definitely have no place on this forum. Go to Democratic Underground where most will agree with your anti-American narrative.

So what we have here is a foreign born agitator with a singular purpose, to cause as much anti-Russian animus as possible. Somebody who is, at least, a sympathetic actor with the Ukraine, telling decorated veterans of the US they are Putinistas, and associates of “Russian Infiltrators” on Free Republic.

To top it off, you’ve been here but a year.

John Kerry. This needs to be investigated and actions taken to try and
clean up this bloated gov’t of ours.

Just posted this in another board:

Russian trolls have been at this since 2014, before Trump announced. Their goal was not to get a certain person elected, but to capitalize on vulnerabilities within our society and electoral process to stir what little chaos they can. Even our arguments between each other on this board are reflective of their goals...

If you choose to spend a meaningful amount of time in Russia, you will witness the circus-nature of their elections and the dysfunctional “democracy” they’ve failed to forge following the collapse of the USSR. Think Blue State/Red State divide is bad? Modern Russia is verydivided: they have outright Islamic republic outposts like Chechnya within their own territory that they have to keep happy and stable lest there be civil war...

In 2014, we were at our weakest as a nation under Obama, but they were aggressively doping their way through Sochi Olympics, annexing Crimea and invading East Ukraine, and preparing for Syria...

Yet even all those actions can’t hide make up for their lingering insecurities...so this is their outlet: sabotage stronger countries they envy and resent however they can.

16 Russians indicted

10s, 100s, or 1,000s of thousands of Mexican illegal aliens, no indictments.

Russian charged with advocating for Trump and for Clinton.

Mexican illegal aliens vote almost exclusively for Democrats. No indictments.

Illegal aliens are sworn by Leftists to be covered by our U. S. Constitution. Here though, the Russians are charged making it clear they have no first amendment rights.

Obama and Clinton sent U. S. citizens to interfere in Israel and Britain’s elections.

The people they sent over were professional campaign level operatives working for Leftists. I don’t see any hooting an hollering about abuses there.

The charges announced today, are a feakin joke!
