FBI Statement on the Shooting in Parkland, Florida
FBI Press Release ^ | February 16, 2018 | fbi

Posted on 02/16/2018 11:21:35 AM PST by Pollard

On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.

We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said:

“We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.

“We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy. All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it.”

Should be a local issue so that people, whose children live with the threat, are empowered to solve the problem. They are motivated to do a good job.

Kudos to the FBI???

Very funny. They have NO choice.

The youtube tipster Ben the Bondsmen already outed them yesterday.

I bet this person who tipped the FBI is itching to do exactly the same thing.

Truly disturbing. Loss of life because of stupidity. Words can’t express how sad this is.

***. All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe***

Evidently, the FBI Director did not listen to his own words just spoken. The “all” is seriously lacking in substance

Trouble is, they’ve been blowing it, and sticking their collective nose into politics for a very, very long time.

Though it pains me to say it, the FBI is a rogue agency essentially accountable to no one.

“Thank you for contacting the FBI. All agents are currently busy with Russia. Please try again in one week. Have a nice day!”

"All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it.”

Except when they are too busy framing the President, lying to courts, lying to the public who pays their salaries, hiding results of investigations, ignoring subpoenas. Need I go on?

If I hear hear one more freaking talking head say, “I’m not condemning the hard working men and women of the FBI who risk their lives every day to keep us safe”..... ...

“we deeply regret the additional pain this causes...” In other words, our bad, we are sorry, we will look into it. Now go bury your dead. Wray is responsible, the buck stops with him for a disaster like this. Heads better roll soon.

Perfect cover for Trump to fire him now. Do it today...late Friday afternoon before a three day weekend.

At least he’s admitting things went wrong and not covering it up.

“Wray is responsible for his people. He needs to resign or be fired.”

Under the circumstances, few would fault Trump if he fired Wray’s ass within the next five days. Then appoint Dan Bongino or David Clarke as the replacement.

“I bet this person who tipped the FBI is itching to do exactly the same thing.”

Now that Ben The Bondsman got the ball rolling, and then this new report of the FBI being notified in early January by someone else, it wouldn’t surprise me if a few more people come forward who also had “said something” when they saw something. Maybe it’ll be like the @MeToo movement. Once one person spoke up, many others were encouraged to do the same.

Sort of blows the “we couldn’t figure out who it was” story doesn’t it?
