McCain associate David Kramer was subpoenaed in mid-January & pled the fifth. Yet, Kramer gave a videotaped deposition last December in separate civil litigation against BuzzFeed about the dossier. So how can he plead the fifth?*****

Generally speaking, testifying previously on a matter in a different case does not waive a later Fifth Amendment claim. What can be done is Congress can subpoena his testimony in the Buzzfeed case, and he cannot assert the Fifth as to testimony he already gave.
