Outgoing Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Fla.) said in an interview broadcast Sunday that it would be “foolish” for the GOP not to realize that it’s “heading into trouble” in the next election.

“When you look at the future of the Republican Party, I think that we would be foolish to not see that we’re heading into trouble,” Ros-Lehtinen told CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

I’d like to add, Trump is the very first president I’ve seen address “the Swamp”. That was an amazing thing to see. I just laughed. I know it would drive folks like McConnell, the GOPe, and the RNC nuts. Wait, they were already nuts...

Everyone forgets about the primaries. We get MAGA candidates we will do fine in the general. NO MORE RINOS!

Trump needs to get those Puerto Rican refugees out of Florida soon, even if the USA has to pay them to return home.

R’s must keep Florida at all cost.

Let’s face it folks.
Trump is merely a stop-gap.
Demographics are going to overrun this country because the anchor babies are becoming adults.
Also the Deep State may just be too powerful.
Now’s the perfect time to stock up folks and PREP.

You’re correct, unfortunately.
And that is WHY they want guns taken away. The only people who will be armed is their pet criminal thugs who serve their purpose of fear and chaos, and the elites behind their gates. Just like Marxist like it.

We’re going to have to deliver a huge victory they apparently neither want nor deserve. There are certain elements that would like to lose big so they can create the narrative that “the message has been heard” to abandon the conservative agenda (and get rid of President Trump). If there is a big victory in November, that narrative is pretty much destroyed. There are many other bad narratives a big win would also destroy or at least damage.

I remember that huge moneybomb of $10 million Christine O’Donnell got virtually overnight back in 2010. Unfortunately she did not utilize it well (the opening ad of her campaign was “I’m not a witch” which was a poor choice) and was running in a near impossible state to win. However, we have more than 10 states up where it is not impossible for the Republicans to win. Getting a full campaign war chest of $10 million per candidate is just 1 million conservative giving them each an average donation of just $10. There are far more than just 1 million conservative who can afford to do that. I wish that could somehow be organized for these candidates like it was for O’Donnell. That would counter the donor classes closing their wallets to the GOP as they seem to be doing this election cycle (that article from HotAir about McConnell - I went back to the original The Hill article and McConnell was more expressing pessimism due to lackluster fundraising - although that is not something he should have been discussing publicly as that is demoralizing to the base).

Here’s the map:

https://www.270towin.com/2018-senate-election/2A4oxa

The new Trump voters need to get the message about what is at stake and know to show up - the rallies for some of these candidates aren’t nearly as fun an entertaining but if they do indeed show up to the polls, it doesn’t matter how “fired up” the Dems are, the Dems will lose - they were fired up in 2016, too...they lost. Trump should start making his regular calls to the talk radio circuit across the nation to fire up the base again to get interested in this election cycle - so much is at stake. Losing the Senate also means grinding judicial nominations to a halt. I believe the President through those actions can move momentum back to his own party like was done back in 2002.

I really appreciate what she did in relentlessly drawing attention to that marine that was being held captive in Mexico those years ago. She was one of the few who did not stand down until he was released.

But other than that...she wasn’t much count.

I’m not sure they have the funds to pull it off. Bribery takes dollars, and if the SCOTUS rules like I think it will on union Fair Share payments, AFSME and the other public sector unions are going to get decimated quickly. With that goes a major source of their funding.

Maybe, but MN 8 should be a pick-up.

“I’m not sure they have the funds to pull it off.”

Maybe not.

Listening to Rush a few days ago and something odd is going on: The Dems are winning all these special elections, and NOT bragging about it...actually trying to stay under the radar.

Something IS going on. Worrisome.

True, but she is the only one I remember, her and Greta on FOX. NEVER THIS Cuban woman.

Greta’s show is what I was thinking of as well. I never remember seeing Palin during that ordeal but watched Greta’s show a lot, and saw this congresswoman on there frequently over the course of multiple shows and she was the one leading the charge in the House to bring attention to it. She didn’t mince words, either.

I found one of her many appearances: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/06/21/ros-lehtinen-blasts-obama-for-apparently-not-mentioning-marine-plight-during.html
