The NBA All Star game just finished the national anthem and it didn’t go very well. Maybe Fergie wasn’t the best choice?

I’m surprised they even perform the National Anthem at NBA games anymore.

It’s amazing what these folks get away with these days.
I had to look up what a “Fergie” was. My first choice was the Duchess of York, whom I would not expect to know the U.S. National Anthem. The second was Ferguson “Fergie” Jenkins, the Canadian Hall of Fame baseball pitcher, who is now 75 years old.
Some of us don’t keep up on the current slate of Pop Tarts, so I’d thought I’d save others the trouble. Fergie is one of those, like Beyoncé, I guess. Oh, and she has continence issues.
The NBA can go the way of the NFL for all I care. I wouldn’t see those thugs if they gave me free front row tickets.
I would expect Fergie to know how to sign “God Save the Queen” After all, she was married to the Duke of York.
Fergie has united Kaepernick and Pres. Trump.
Kapernick has agreed to stand and Trump agreed to kneel in unity over horrible Fergie rendition.

It wasn’t a botch. She did it exactly as she planned — for the attention. And she is apparently getting plenty of attention.

I am not sure how you would arrive at those notes...
The old Rhodesian national anthem was set to "Ode to Joy," which is a beautiful melody. The first line is "Rise, O voices of Rhodesia." That could easily be changed to "Rise, O voices of America."
Anything, of course, is better than lyrics by Francis Scott Key, the slaveowner.
