Hubby and I are making the great escape from the “swamp.” We’re in the midst of purchasing a great 1967 ranch fixer upper in Athens AL. We currently pay $6000 in property taxes on a very modest town house. Limestone County property taxes on the new house: less than $600. Sweet Home Alabama.
