The whole purpose of the Mueller investigation was to look for “collusion” and failing to find it demand access to President Trump’s financial records going back 30 years to find “proof”that the President if not dealing with the Russians in all probability has committed numerous crimes in his business dealings. The Democrats believe that if they can root around in the President’s financial affairs they will find something on him. This is the golden path to impeachment as far as the Democrats and the media are concerned which is why their going to keep riding this lame horse.

The only way to stop this is a relational maneuver to investigate the investigator, hollowing out the initial phony pretext for the investigation in the first place. Or the best defense is a good offense.
