My daughter used to get bullied, because I had bought her (what I thought) was the cutest jacket. It was green with white cuffs and collar. This guy kept calling her the green Santa from Mars. She would come home upset about it. I told her to call the guy out don’t let him get the better of you. So outside of the school property they went at it. My daughter came home with a bloody nose. I don’t know what he went home with, but he never called her the Green Santa from Mars again. :-)
Lol - my daughter was ridiculed at a private Christian school because I made her wear the lovely Nordic knit sweater I had made. She was very embarrassed because she was told how nice it was in front of the whole class....by the teacher! lol - not someone you want complimenting your homemade sweater. She got over it. She also loves the Nordic knit sweaters I have made for my grands...her kids. Not only that, but she saved all of the sweaters I made for her and her brother and the clothes I made as well! How things change. We just have to hang in there long enough to be vindicated lol.
When any of my kids told me they were bullied, depending on the circumstances, I would tell them to just ignore it, as a lot of times the bullies are just trying to make themselves feel better, or to get even. Just like my generation was taught. We didn’t go around threatening to kill a bunch of innocent people, or commit suicide, or get authorities or psychiatric drugs involved, we just took care of the bully. And the bully hopefully learned a lesson.
