This isn’t a criminal investigation - as even Limbaugh himself pointed out. It’s a counter-intelligence investigation. Intelligence is precisely for the POTUS. Trump cannot obstruct by definition - according to Limbaugh himself just a mere week ago - because intelligence is all gathered for him! It’s the Presdient’s intelligence. Trump also cannot obstruct even by firing Comey; he’s constitutionally permitted to do that.
Even if Manafort says “Trump colluded!!” - so what? Colluded to do...what? “Collusion” is not a crime. It’s also not impeachable, since it’s neither a “high crime or misdemeanor”. So whatever your “empirical observation” is, it’s clearly not on reality.

The special counsel’s reason for being is 3 fold:
1) Embroil the Trump administration with indictments-scandals with the ultimate goal of toppling(impeachment-resignation). Barring that, it taints his presidency with illegitimacy.
2) Use the special counsel to bury the mountain of high crime evidence against Hillary & the O’muslim regime.
3) Show the people what happens if you want to go to work for the Trump administration...You’ll be crucified by the propaganda press and indicted by a soviet-style special counsel. Your house raided in the dark of the night by the goose-steppers of the FBI.
