I don’t expect cops to commit suicide in a reckless attempt to save even children

Contrast that with the middle aged, former NRA instructor in rural Texas who ran out of his house barefoot and solo to engage a mass shooter at the Baptist church next door.

Thanks God that she will never be called upon to save or help a darn thing. It used to be human instinct to protect our own kind, now, not so much.

From usatoday.com:

“SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Texas — One minute he was relaxing barefoot at his home. In the next, Stephen Willeford stood behind a pickup truck, firing the shots that led to the demise of the gunman who massacred 26 people in a church.

“And Willeford still had no shoes on.

“The 55-year-old plumber and experienced rifleman is heralded as a hero by local police here. Devin Kelley fatally shot 26 people and had just exited First Baptist Church when Willeford surprised him.”

They don’t mention that he used an AR-15. They don’t mention that the shooter was driving in the direction of a second Baptist church when Mr. Willeford took him out.
