Look at Nest! We have their cameras at a commercial office building we own, the service is cheap and very good ($15 a month for three cameras and ten days of 100% second by second image storage that you can recall instantly).
Also use their cameras, smart thermostats and smoke/CO detectors on two homes. All accessible and controllable from your iPhone or computer!
DON’T get a Simply Safe system. It sucks-have had nothing but trouble with it and we are now going to remove it, because of their corporate decision re NRA. They advertise heavily on conservative talk radio, as in Rush’s show. Sent him an e-mail last night as well.
