“THE time for reconciliation is over.” South Africa’s parliament has backed a motion to confiscate land owned by white people.
SOUTH Africa’s parliament has voted in favour of a motion that will begin the process of amending the country’s Constitution to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation.
The motion was brought by Julius Malema, leader of the radical Marxist opposition party the Economic Freedom Fighters, and passed overwhelmingly by 241 votes to 83 against. The only parties who did not support the motion were the Democratic Alliance, Freedom Front Plus, Cope and the African Christian Democratic Party.
It was amended but supported by the ruling African National Congress and new president Cyril Ramaphosa, who made land expropriation a key pillar of his policy platform after taking over from ousted PM Jacob Zuma earlier this month.
“The time for reconciliation is over. Now is the time for justice,” Mr Malema was quoted by News24 as telling parliament. “We must ensure that we restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land.”

Zimbabwe returned the land to the white owners recently. after nearly 40 years of destruction, they know who the Producers are.
After years of lobbying against Apartheid, this definitely calls into question the realism of any urgings of charity one may feel towards any disadvantaged group anywhere.
Rather than repay your kindness in undoing repressive measures, they will give exclusive credit to their own cunning, and repay your ancestors’ previous repression that you had hoped to undo with a repression of their own.

My only surprise is that it has taken this long to occur.
Don’t give them more credit than they are due.
The new leadership know that they need foreign investment to dig their country out of the economic pit that they have dug for themselves. How can they entice foreigners to invest in Zimbabwe?
First, they have to prove that investment once made is safe from government confiscation. The best way to do that is to return confiscated property to its rightful owners.
Second, the original owners will bring their money back in to the country to restore their farms to productivity. The owners will also employ local people to build and work the farms.
The new leadership do not necessarily believe that whites are more productive but they do recognize the reality that they do have money.
There’s already a water crisis in Cape Town as the post-Apartheid government is unable to manage its resources to a first-world standard.
If you’re a white person in South Africa, this is your signal to get out.
What Mugabe has offered is a 99 year lease to any white farmers, with no promise of being able to build a life. He is offering enslavement to any that accept it.
They have been telling us we’re all from Africa.

It shouldn’t be a surprise; South Africa desperately wants to avoid Zimbabwe’s predicament. Eventually they’ll end up back at the point where many US cities are today: “We need white people to come back to pay for sh!t”...
