What are their political leanings? If they embrace socialism, I don’t want them here.

“What are their political leanings? If they embrace socialism, I don’t want them here.”

Considering what they’ve been through, I seriously doubt that.

The farmers are fine. Change.org has always been a far left tool and likely cia data collection site.

This is a great opportunity to make sure that all of your personal contact information is sold to everyone you dont want to have it. Dont wait, build a profile to be first to pick the good seats on the re-education camp bus today!

"What are their political leanings? If they embrace socialism, I don’t want them here."

I've met a few, and they were helpful, moral, generous, polite and very hard workers. They were determined to carry their own weight and help neighbors, too.

A few years ago, one who had moved to Australia from South Africa just before then was visiting his brother in Colorado and helped my family move a fairly long distance. He did it simply to be sociable and refused to take any payment. Seems that he was always looking for work to do just for the sake of keeping busy. Showed a cheerful, positive, can-do attitude about things in general.

It appeared that nothing could make him grouchy. He went back to Australia after his visit and has written to us since. Met a young lady from South Africa, too. She behaved maturely, also politely and was a cheerful hard worker. Had an independent nature while also generous.

They all spoke perfect English and provided entertaining and interesting company. They blended in and were well liked wherever they went. They didn't talk about race, but there were interesting stories about farming and other things about Africa (weather, scenery, etc.).

Exactly.

They should be treated like any other “refugee”.

Just because some here have a soft spot for them, doesn’t mean they get some speed track into the U.S. if they just end up on the dole or voting for Democrats. We already have too much of that now.

And before they get here, they should follow the same rules people expected for the Syrians. Like going to the nearest safe nation first. Then they should be applying for assylum in either the U.K. or other Commonwealth nations.

I am an Afrikaner. I am here aren’t I?

Leave the damned Brit descendants and bring over the Afrikaners. Think of us as really smart rednecks who will outwork any American. We love guns. We love family. Our food... oh you have no idea. We were at the tip of Good Hope as all the spice merchants were coming from the east to Europe. This is a weeknight dish: http://portandfin.com/bobotie/ Not up to my standards but not bad.
