A workers paradise in the Peoples Republik Of Kalifornia.
My account of history has California leading the nation in leftism since the 50’s, starting with the beatnik movement which transformed into the hippie culture, homo etc. All of which spread to the rest of the land. NYC and others in the north east may have had their beginnings too, but nothing compared to California. It has literally gone unchecked since the 50’s.
My point is, where will this state be in 20 years? To what point of disaster will it drag the rest of the nation to?
NYC is where it started-
“The core group of Beat Generation authors Herbert Huncke, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, Lucien Carr, and Jack Kerouac met in 1944 in and around the Columbia University campus in New York City. Later, in the mid-1950s, the central figures (with the exception of Burroughs and Carr) ended up together in San Francisco where they met and became friends of figures associated with the San Francisco Renaissance.”
“The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations by members of the gay community against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. They are widely considered to constitute the most important event leading to the gay liberation movementand the modern fight for LGBT rights in the United States.”
The Auto Row sit-in in 64 started the protest krap in San Fran.
I dont remember what problem they were trying to solve.
Probably discrimination.
The beatnick movement began in New York. I dont think it ever got much traction in California.
