Trump 'outpacing Reagan' in conservative accomplishments
WND ^

President Trump’s administration already has outpaced President Reagan in its implementation of agenda items proposed by a prominent conservative Washington, D.C., think tank.

Nearly two-thirds of the 334 items called for by the Heritage Foundation‘s legendary “Mandate for Leadership” blueprint have been accomplished in Trump’s first year in office, reported the Washington Examiner. The Heritage Foundation’s Thomas Binion said Trump has implemented 64 percent of the “unique policy recommendations” from the group while Reagan had completed 49 percent at this stage in his presidency.

“We’re blown away,” Binion, director of congressional and executive branch relations at Heritage, told the Examiner.

He said Trump “is very active, very conservative, and very effective.”

Nope, as I figured he is pulling some non-conservative stuff.

Even if not, we must remember that Trump technically has an all-Repub Congress. Reagan had no such thing, except 2 measly years with the Senate.

I posted a few times before his inauguration that, if he did half of what he promised, he would be 10 times better than the last 4 presidents combined.

He exceeded my expectations (based on previous presidents and their promises) by the end of his first 100 days in office.

I just wish the establishment conservatives would quit turning into drama queens every time the media tries to put words in his mouth or claim he said/did something he didn’t say/do.

Trump has had a more successful first year than any President in history.

It’s possible that no one will ever surpass Washington as our greatest President, but Trump already deserves to be considered the second greatest

Just trust that he will act in the best interests of America and pay attention to what he does, not what he says. Words are tools. And obviously, ignore the naysayers who are hung up on ideology.

dunno about that one. it’ll take a pretty neat trick to top “defeating communism”.

it happened on bush41’s watch, but it was reagan’s accomplishment.

that's a pretty weird thing to say. what's left if you "ignore" ideology?

Pragmatism. This was the argument for Trump over Cruz.

the word is nearly meaningless. at the time, “pragmatism” was also an argument used to support both bushes.

jus’ sayin’.

without ideology, you become unmoored. you’re either assimilated by the enemy, or you’re left running a fan club.

If Donald Trump Makes America Great Again, he will have defeated communism.

I don’t know what that means, so I’m having a hard time finding a place to disagree. but I will say that, despite your essentially nonsensical tag line, there is no communism left to defeat.

Trump had a definite agenda he ran on. Hardly unmoored. He crushed all ideologues on both sides.

agenda <> ideology. I can create an agenda during lunch. and, what is more concerning is that I can unmake an agenda just as effortlessly.

that’s where the problems start.

I can be an ideologue and never get elected president. But I can sit in the corner and feel smug about it forever.
