All of the school shootings and shooting threates on K-12 campuses that *I've* heard/read about have taken place at public schools. Have any taken place at private schools, or is the culture there more level headed (for lack of a better description)?
If any have taken place at private schools, could you please post news links? Thank you.

The Amish girls
With regard to your interest in the question you asked, the perp was an outsider - one could hardly come up with a moral environment less conducive to a school shooting than an Amish one-room schoolhouse.
It’s more like the exception that proves (or “probes”) the rule.
My guess is some of these schools have quietly put signs outside saying shooters will be stopped and/or have someone (or ones) inside prepared to act.
My kids private school had a threat last week. We have a cop in every building now until we find the person that made the threat in 9th grade. Written on bathroom stall last Monday.
That said, I was thinking about the more recent spate of shootings.

Probably some other 9th grader.
Somebody posted a list of school shootings on FR last week.
It had two Catholic school shootings. One was a girl that injured two students back in mid 1970s or 80s. I think the other was earlier, but dont remember details.
There were no private school (non parochial) shootings on the list, as I remember.
Yes, I posted a couple on another thread a week or two ago.
Make sure you are comparing apples and oranges, however. For example, private school students make up less than 10% of the students attending school. (9.7% of elementary and secondary school students). So to do a straight up comparison, you’ll need to multiply the private school actions by 10.
Not that I can think of.
Perpetrator was an adult rather than a student. Are school shootings defined as an act carried out by a student, or recent former student? Probably no official definition of a school shooting.
The gunman, identified as Charles Roberts IV, was a milk tanker truck driver who served several Amish farms in the Nickel Mines area (including some of the victims' families).School shooting, sure enough - but the shooter was not a student (and also, evidently, not Amish).
While the students were Amish I dont think it was a private school. I believe the Amish attend local public schools until they are 13. The Supreme Court decides decades ago that due to their religious beliefs they could leave school at 13.
If the Amish have private schools that is the first I heard of it.
Private schools kick students at the drop of a hat.
That is a broad generalization. OTOH Broward schools apparently do not boot out or otherwise report criminal conduct by students. I choose the private solution.
A primary cause of school shootings: “Toxic Liberalism”......
I went to a few myself and you only get 3 chances to conform.
It’s not a bad thing. They just do. If you are trying they work with you but behavior like the shooter is described would have expelled him on the first offence.
Yep.
