Is he a "watch" dog?
Look at this one instead. The land masses are distorted by the projection onto a flat map with perpendicular north-south and east-west coordinates, but it does show the relative locations of various places correctly in an east-west direction. No doubt about it -- the Eastern Time Zone is much wider than it should be ... probably because there was an attempt in both the U.S. and Canada to cram as many places into the same time zone as the government (Washington and Ottawa) and financial (New York and Toronto/Montreal) centers of the two countries.
As relative for the times I would imagine. He certainly was a rather randy old bugger. The ladies loved him!
I can “Fall Back” without any problems it’s the “Spring Ahead is a pain.
I say we just get rid if this clock setting and just stay without changing the time back and forward....
The effect would be exactly the same if they went to work an hour earlier. If we want more daylight hours after work as a society, start the work day earlier.
I hate DST. It leaves me feeling sluggish for a week.
Farmers don’t like it either. They say the extra hour
of sunlight burns the crops up.
You are much smarter and have Common Sense.
Tell me that you are kidding? You have ONE DST that you can adjust and then you have millions of businesses to adjust. Which one do you think is easier to do?
“If you’re in a band playing 8pm until 2am, the change is tough. All of a sudden, after playing a long 6 hour gig, ya gotta play another hour? PITA
Changing time twice a year is stupid, with no useful purpose.
This dude has it completely backwards—we need 365 DST!

The “stupid amounts of money” come from Congress changing the dates on occasion, screwing up systems that are hard/impossible to update - of which there are many.
Just let noon be solar zenith already. Quit messing with time.
Yes, but it totally screws up children. Children don’t really care what the clock says. For any who have 4 year olds and younger know how much they need bed time consistency.
The problem is daylight savings is an example of once legislated it is harder to reverse. It is such a minor issue there is no real appetite to spend political capital to reverse it. Even though most people wonder what the hell the point of it is.
Again right do gooders passing legislation that made sense to no one. Canada does the same thing. Screws up the body clock really for no reason.
Well, he once had ticks! No tocks!
Everyone in the country forced to adjust twice a year every year in perpetuity, or those who desire to do so, change their business hours as they so desire. What’s easier?
