That otherwise decent people keep sending their kids into these crap holes is even more disturbing to me. I know, I know... They can’t afford to homeschool. And most of the single mothers don’t give a dann anyway.
The out-of-pocket cost for homeschooling can be close to zero. As for the time commitment, parents who care, including single mothers, find a way. Government schools are institutionalized child abuse.
I homeschooled four and had to work full time. Alone. It can be done.
They came out of it well educated. Even they admit it.
