A shootout in Pomona, Calif., left one police officer dead and another injured, officials say.

Pomona was largely black in the 70’s, but Mexicans drove most of them out during the 80’s. It’s about 70% latino these days with a few bkacks remaining. Whites are limited to two nice areas in Pomona, one area known as Phillips Ranch and upscale homes near the LA County Fairgrounds.
