Crybabies. She / they / we need a little more “cultural appropriation” of everyday Southern discourse. The unspoken and accepted convention of a waitress (for example) being able to call me “honey” or “sugar” down South, and me being able to address her the same way, might be my very favorite thing about going on a road trip anywhere in the country.

We stopped at a Huddle House in FL last night, the waitress called me...wait for eeet....HONEY. In front of my wife, no less! It was so degrading. I'm triggered! Anyone know a good lawyer?
