I had a couple of friends living / working in Davao. One of them is now doing nails in Dubai so she's okay.
The other moved to Roxas with her airline job, but last month took a huge promotion and is working at Cebu Pacific Headquarters in Manila. She's okay too. They are cousins. Their family is in a village north of Butuan. No trouble up there, (yet.)

At one time Davao City was the most dangerous City in the Philippines. Along came Duterte, and others, who kicked rears and took names. Now, it’s really peaceful and safe. 👍
