Mueller's new fishing hole: 'Conspiracy to defraud the government'
American Thinker ^ | March 13, 2018 | Rick Moran

Posted on 03/13/2018 12:02:41 PM PDT by detective

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is invoking a new charge in his Captain Queeg search for the lost strawberries. He is looking to tie Trump and his aides to a "conspiracy to defraud the government charge."

What makes this such a stretch is that Mueller apparently doesn't have to tie it to a criminal action. This puts a lot more of Trump's aides in danger of being ensnared in Mueller's ever widening net.

My first thought was that this is an Onion story, but I guess not.

My next thought was that Horseface is becoming demented. This may be true.

The final possibility is that this means Horseface has nothing.

What is wrong with our processes that a kangaroo court like this can exist to drive a duly elected President from office? Thank God that the person is Donald J Trump because probably no other Republican in the land would be able to withstand this. The Donald is getting stronger and will beat back this onslaught and America will become Great again.

So why wouldn’t every single person ever brought before a future Special Counsel simply plead the Fifth and refuse to answer ANY questions?

It’s the Martha Stewart prosecution all over again. No underlying crime, but a conviction none the less.

Why doesn’t Trump just demand that he stick to the “russian collusion” bullsh*t or be removed?

He CAN remove this POS anytime he wants. This is just stupid to let it go on.

"Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against, then you'll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures.

We are after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it.

There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there it that for anyone?

But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted, and you create a nation of lawbreakers, and then you cash in.

Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.

This statute as applied to this situation is blatantly unconstitutional.

If I was a target for this bogus allegation, I would not hire an attorney and tell Mueller to F@)K OFF.

Would not talk to him or provide any documents. I’d tell the Mueller, “good luck in getting an indictment, Asshole “

Big mistake for targets of a B.S. criminal allegation is to hire an attorney. Mueller would just try to bankrupt you into submission. Mueller would have to talk to me directly, and stretching out the criminal process for many years would not be that hard. If you don’t know how, take a couple of law school classes on criminal procedure and legal research, and research the case law for the statute you are alleged to have violated.

Record all phone calls. It is always legal record a public official when they are performing their public functions without their consent.

Even if it wasn’t, Washington DC is a one party consent jurisdiction.

IF YOU WANT TO FIND DEFRAUDING THE GOVERNMENT, LOOK AT THE ACTIVITIES OF HILARY AND THOSE IN HER ORBIT!!!!!

How can you ignore everyone’s crimes from one party when their offenses are 100x worse than the minor process crimes you’re trying to trap the OTHER party into????

There is only one answer. The special counsel is a partisan hack. This sort of double standard should be enough on it’s own to fire him. The irony of it all is that allowing Hillary to rig an election using foreign agents and spending infinity going after the other side combing for nothing IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!

Will someone please explain to me why Mueller’s entire charade is not SEDITION?

With no evidence, they have feverishly been working to overthrow a legally elected President/Administration.

Time for Sessions to go and REAL AG put in place to stop this madness...

Enough, is indeed, enough.

Shouldn’t he be charging Albert Gore Junior and others with that for the multibillion dollar global warming scam?

Research papers that cook results, fraudulent photos and “science”, threats and intimidation and blacklisting of those who dissent, all to shake down the government and corporations for personal profit.

Democrats wanted to impeach Nixon in his first term, long before Watergate.

Democrats wanted to impeach Reagan in his first term, long before Iran-Contra.

Democrats wanted to impeach Bush in his first term long before Abu Ghraib.

their outrage is at the election result, not any course of action. These same libtards claim that Obama’s administration did not have a single scandal (even as the IRS, EPA, and other unelected offices were weaponized against the public). Fast & Furious gun running to narcoterrorists, on and on...

Mueller has found nothing on Trump.

Neither has the House Intelligence Committee; therefore, it's now in order for Trump to shut down Mueller's witch hunt. The MSM will go bonkers, but the American people will be relieved that this is over.

This is a cite from an extremely accomplished Law Firm regarding how broad that statute is:

“Under this statute, to “defraud” the United States means:

Obstructing or impairing the efficiency of any department of the government, to destroy its operation and reports as fair, impartial, and reasonably accurate; and
Cheating the government out of money or property”.

I don’t like it, but that is the extent of the statute.

‘Conspiracy to defraud the government’

Isn’t Mueller himself Guilty of exactly the same thing by going off the reservation with his witch hunt when his task was to uncover Russian Interference and Nothing Else?

You want to nail millions of people for defrauding the government, go after all the shysters feigning disabilities and getting disability benefits.

There are tens of millions on EBT cards, taking and taking.

The people in power need to realize we have too many laws.

No one is safe in such a legal environment, not even the powerful.

IMO, that would be the ONLY reason the thought would even *dawn* in their pointy, little heads; hopefully, not until the bars lock behind ‘em.

Okay. What is conspiring to defeat a government regulation? Not trying to be a smartass, because you and I agree this is ridiculous
>

A1) Setting up an ‘off the books’, non-secure, private e-mail server.
A2) Using a hammer to destroy govt property and/or bleach-bit to wipe said server above.
A3) Deleting 30K+ email messages from said server.
A4) CA blocking ICE/DHS from deporting illegal aliens by announcing raids.
....

I think we would fill up the HDDs just in Zero’s terms.
