Both parents should spare a thought for the two 6-year-old girls. They need stability. They need a mother and father who are married to each other and are adult enough to treat each other decently. The little girls' lasting need for both of their parents is supposed to be included in the fidelity thing.

Watters is not divorcing his wife for emotional/sexual/marital abandonment.
She is divorcing him for adultery.
And neither of you know the facts and neither of you know these people.
Yet so many here are willing to thump their Bibles and make pronouncements. Bah.

I also did not sign up for the great Man vs Woman Blood Sport game. I've certainly known women --- I'm thinking of two, whom I knew fairly well --- who tossed their marriages, tore up their children's lives, and blindsided their innocent husbands, all because they had a yen for something exciting, something different.

If it’s just a legalistic paperwork drill, then it doesn’t matter -when- he meets someone that makes him happy and whom likes him. God isn’t suddenly ok just because a legal motion got filed. You follow?
I understand your parents. I’d be disappointed if Hannity were caught like this. I believe these (all but especially the famous conservative) men should divorce or separate FIRST before continuing the affair. (I understand they can’t divorce before they first fall into a bed with a new woman. Things happen. But when they develop into some kind of a relationship they need to keep their promise to their wife no matter how horrible she is. Let her go.)

Marriage is a natural institution, in that it fills a natural need: making a stable matrix in which children are provided with support, nurture, a kinship-based identity, and in which the adults have clear guidelines within which their normal needs can be reasonably fulfilled.
Even people who are not Christians or Jews ---I mean, people with no Biblical perspective, normal decent everyday Hindus and Buddhists and pagans too --- know that it is honorable for a man or woman to keep their honest given word, and dishonorable to go sneaking around trying to get some illicit action on the side.
Folks do truly say that a marriage is a lot more than a contract. But they treat it like it's a lot less.
