Some men have been very committed and then the wife woke up one day and decided to be fully committed to her job, her mommy, her kids, her friends, etc and to turn into a cold and forbidding scold, a killjoy, and a heartless cruel soul towards the man SHE swore to be committed to.
It isn’t happy, but the fact is that some men face the choice of a life of increasing coldness, cruelty and loneliness...or they have to look elsewhere.
It’s a commitment, not a suicide pact for your one and only life on earth.
