Robert Mueller Isn’t Mr. Integrity — He Wants to Destroy Donald Trump
Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | March 15, 2018 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: From the New York Times that Mueller subpoenas Trump Organization. This is the Trump Tower company. This is the real estate and building company. This has nothing to do with the campaign, nothing to do with collusion, nothing to do with the Russians and elections.

Is Mueller trying to prove that he is conducting a witch-hunt? What in the world does the Trump Organization have to do with the Trump campaign colluding with the Russian government? And I want to read to you something here from the New York Times piece that’s just leaked here. It’s from Maggie Haberman. Well, it hasn’t leaked. It’s published. It’s two people on Mueller’s team that are doing the leaking. The order, the subpoenaing of documents from the Trump Organization is the first known time “of the special counsel demanding records directly related to President Trump’s businesses, bringing the investigation closer to the president.”

Come on! We knew this was gonna happen. Mueller himself said so, or his leakers. We knew months ago that Trump’s businesses were targeted! There aren’t any limits on this guy! There is no crime that he has been charged with investigating. He’s been given a free rein to go find a crime anywhere he wants!

Also from the New York Times piece: “The breadth of the subpoena was not clear, nor was it clear why Mr. Mueller issued it instead of simply asking for the documents from the company, an umbrella organization that oversees Mr. Trump’s business ventures.” Well, it’s because Mueller’s fishing.

But here’s my question. We’ve been told as long as I have been aware of the name Robert Mueller, we are told that Mr. Mueller is a man of impeccable character, a man of refined tastes, a man of immense sophistication and qualification. The man was a judge, he ran the FBI, he is a fair person. He’s an all-round good guy. And in terms of people in Washington when it comes to the integrity, there are none with any more integrity than Robert Mueller.

Well, I’m sorry, but that doesn’t fit with what we see this man doing. And what I ask myself is, does Mueller ever get up and ask himself, “What the hell am I doing? I don’t have a crime here. I don’t have any evidence of a crime.” Does Mueller ever get up or does anybody on his team, do they get up in the morning and they ever ask themselves, are we really doing the right thing here in seeking to destroy an American citizen whose only audacious behavior is winning the presidency?

I mean, what did Donald Trump really ever do to these people? Except come in and upset their established order of things. Now, I know this sounds naive. But I’m telling you, I have a conscience. And if I were given the power to go out and use the full powers of the United States Department of Justice to destroy someone who didn’t deserve it, I couldn’t do it. And I guess that’s why I’ll never be a member of the swamp or any other establishment.

Now, Donald Trump may not be these guys’ definition of a fine guy. I don’t know. I just know that Trump is not himself a conformist, and he’s not a member of any establishment, the kind of guy that’s not allowed in them, elite club, so Trump is basically made his own. He’s created his own elite organization, his own sphere of friends with his own dominance and influence within that sphere. And he succeeded immensely, wildly at it.

But these people are wandering down empty halls. There isn’t any evidence for anything that we’ve been told Trump did. In fact, it’s just the exact opposite. If there was collusion — we established this yesterday — if there’s any collusion, it’s with Barack Obama and Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele. Oh, and, by the way, let’s add one other thing to this. These two clowns, Isikoff and David Corn, what have they done?

Look at this story. “Trump Dossier Authors Doubt Their Most Explosive Allegation.” The hell you say! The Trump dossier author, Christopher Steele, doesn’t think the golden showers event happened? Why is it that we’re only learning this a year or so into this cockamamie investigation? The golden shower story is the impetus for all of this, that Trump was in Moscow, learned that he was staying in the same hotel room as Barack Obama and Michelle and so hired some prostitutes to come over and urinate on the bed.

Trump was in that room a total of six hours, 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. He wouldn’t have had time anyway. Didn’t do it! But now these two guys have known this for the entire time they’ve been researching this book! These two clowns are no different than these journalists who embed themselves with campaigns and learn all kinds of things that they save until after the election! Things that would have been of relevance before the election!

They hide stuff and they save it for their book so that they can get rich on exclusive information, and yet they are reporters of the highest order. And now these two guys, Corn and Isikoff have done the same thing. They have known for however along they’ve been writing the book that the golden showers story is bogus and that Steele doesn’t even believe it. And only now do people learn it when their book is about to be published. Well, that golden showers story has been the fuel that has rocketed this whole investigation.

And now we find out that Steele doesn’t even believe it! The author of the dossier doesn’t even believe it! “Trump Dossier Authors Doubt Their Most Explosive Allegation.” Because they can’t corroborate what the sources are saying! So how does Mueller get up every day? If he’s this fine man, if he has this impeccable integrity, if he has a sterling reputation, then how does he get up every day with 16 other cronies and actually set about destroying another man whose only crime is winning the presidency and defeating Mueller and his buddies?

All I can think of is what the clown ass Joe McCarthy once during the McCarthy hearing said, “Sir, have you no decency,” after McCarthy wouldn’t stop accusing everybody in the government of being a communist. I never can remember this guy’s name. But he’s very famous because he shut McCarthy down and everybody hated McCarthy. “Have you no decency, sir?”

Now, folks, I don’t mean to be gesticulating wildly. It’s a serious question I have. Now we look at this Mueller subpoena — If he’s a fine guy — I can understand if Mueller was a creep. I could understand if Mueller’s reputation was other than what it is, but we’re told this guy’s the best of the best. We’re told this guy, nobody could hold a candle to him in terms of honesty and integrity and character. Well, then how does somebody with all of those fine traits even participate in a sham like this?

No, I can answer it. I know the answer. It’s the establishment, Trump’s an outsider, and that’s all it takes. They’ve gotta send a signal that people like Trump are never, ever again to even try something like this because if you do, we will destroy you. Journalism today and for the longest time has, in part, been about destroying people. And in many cases, for no reason other than these people are disliked by journalists. Not because they’ve hurt people. It is not because they’ve committed crimes.

And it’s the same thing here with Trump. If there were evidence, folks, if there was even the tiniest bit of evidence that I actually could be convinced that Trump was working with the Russians to monkey with our elections — I don’t even believe that’s possible, number one. I believe Obama when he said (paraphrasing), “Our elections are too broad, they’re too wide, they’re too complex, they’re too spread out.” It’s not possible for this allegation to have actually happened.

But even if I believed there was evidence that Trump had tried it, I would have a whole different attitude about this. But I don’t believe that there’s a scintilla of evidence, and the evidence points the other way. I understand they have to protect themselves. I understand they have to protect Hillary and so forth and protect Obama, which is what this is really all about.

It’s Obama who hired Fusion GPS to go after Romney. It’s Obama who was spying on domestic opponents of his Iran deal. And it was that program that showed them they could do it, get away with it, they could actually use journalists as weapons, the administration could. And so they’re doing it here with Trump and the 2016 election. And it’s all originated from the annals of community organizing as and written and led by Barack Obama.

We know that election was rigged, the Democrat primaries. We know that Hillary Clinton colluded with the Russians because she commissioned that dossier. But how did Hillary find out about Fusion GPS? She could have only learned about them from Obama, who also hired them to go spy on Romney in 2012.

How do these guys keep doing this? There’s nothing here. This is perfectly obvious, a mission to destroy Donald Trump for the sake of destroying Donald Trump. Because they don’t think he’s qualified, because they don’t like his taste, because they don’t like his lack of sophistication, because he’s not one of them, because he runs the risk of outperforming them, because he runs the risk of blowing up the game they’re running, that only they are qualified to run this country.

But this doesn’t fit with a man of the impeccable reputation that Robert Mueller has. So I’m left to conclude he doesn’t have all this the great character. He doesn’t have unimpeachable integrity. That he is not honest and forthright above all else, that he’s nothing more than your average, ordinary establishment partisan like all the rest of them are. And the idea that he’s a cut above and he’s got this integrity that’s unassailable, this character that nobody else can approach, this decency and honesty that is unique, BS.

That’s all part of scam to make sure nobody questions what he comes up with. Comey wanted this guy appointed. Comey found a way to make it happen. It has happened, and they’re gloating and they’re gleeful about it each and every day, Comey and the rest of these people that have secured the appointment of Mueller. I couldn’t do it do it unless I was someplace where I was told to do it or else.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here’s what I think Mueller is doing, because I know that they don’t have anything on collusion, and now with Corn and Isikoff admitting that this idiot Steele doesn’t even believe the golden showers story, they don’t have anything on collusion. And that’s why Rosenstein didn’t limit it to that. That’s why Rosenstein didn’t charge Mueller with a specific crime because they want these people gone.

They want Trump gone. They want everybody anything to do with Trump gone. They all do. Everybody at the State Department, everybody in this immediate FBI circle with Rosenstein, Murphy and McKinnon, the Republican establishment community, Republican consultants, they want Trump gone. Mueller is the guy to do it. Mueller is carrying the water for the entire establishment in getting Trump gone. And they don’t care how they do it. And I think their objective is to ruin him.

And these requests, the subpoena for documents from the Trump Organization, I ask you again, what has that to do with the campaign and with collusion and with the Russians? They’ve already been looking into Trump business in Russia with the Miss, what is it, USA, whatever his pageant is.

Do you all remember during the early days of the campaign there was news that Trump, in a tax return something like 20 years ago, took a $900 million deduction that was granted and survived an audit by the IRS? Now, I forget the details. It had to do with losses that he had incurred in that year in building things. It was around 900 or $920 million deduction. I’ll never forget when it was reported because most people will never come close to ever having that in a lifetime, and to have a guy personally write that much off?

And so the tentacles of class envy surface. “Oh, my God! See, that’s what we mean, Mabel, the rich get away with everything, writing off $920 million? Meanwhile, we can’t do anything.” And the Democrats fan the flames and there was a big storm it. Well, I happen to think, since they don’t have any evidence that Trump did anything and they don’t have any evidence that Carter Page did anything, and Carter Page was named the man the original FISA warrant was secured to spy on — oh, by the way, everybody so worried that Andrew McCabe might lose his pension if Sessions fires him before Sunday. Anybody worried that Michael Flynn’s lost his house in this absolute atrocity?

Michael Flynn, who the FBI didn’t even believe had lied to them, has lost his house and had to plead guilty in order to pay legal fees. And, meanwhile, everybody’s worried about poor McCabe and he might not get his pension if Jeff Sessions fires him before Friday. This investigation of Trump is damaging and ruining a lot of people.

Manafort, the judge told him the other day, “Based on the charges that you have, dude, you could be spending the rest of your life in prison.” For what? Well, whatever Manafort did, it had nothing to do with the Trump campaign. Anyway, I think Mueller wants that $920 million back. I think Mueller wants to prove that that was a faulty deduction. I think that they want to go back, they want to get Trump’s tax returns because they want to nullify that $900 million deduction, and then they want to collect 20 years of interest and penalties and wipe Trump out.

I don’t know anything. I’m like you, I take all of this in, and I ask myself, “What the hell is going on here?” And I know that that $920 million deduction that Trump took 20 years ago — might be 22 or 23 years ago now — that’s gotta be seen as a giant target for these people. And if they can get that deduction ruled illegal and say, “You owe that money back, Mr. Trump. Oh, by the way, there’s 20 years of penalties and interest.”

They’re not gonna stop. And, remember, we’re talking about the man with the most impeccable reputation in all of Washington. A man with the highest integrity. His integrity and reputation are such that you can’t even approach it. There’s nobody in Washington that can even stand in the same light as Robert Mueller when it comes to honesty, character, integrity, truth, and justice and the American way. He owns it. So we’ve been told.

I believe that the whole operation is being run by the ‘Obama deep state resistance’.

“Sessions sits idly by.”

Sessions is helpless.

He’d because hounded out of office by the bloodthirsty ‘crats, who asked Trump to meekly accept defeat if he lost.

The entire cabal needs to go to jail. Bob’s about as clean as McCabe.

Remember Bob was head of FBI on 9/11

Mueller has terrorized Trump voters for over a year. I wish there was a way to push back on this thug.

Could get really interesting around the fall. I expect liberal anarchists again. Then again, I expect they will be dealt with harshly. As they should be.

Mueller is starting to remind me of Patrick Fitzgerald, the special prosecutor who ruined Scooter Libby’s life just to put his name in the history books, get plaudits from the media, and show what a tough guy he is. Mueller is scum. He’s going to pore over Trump’s entire business career just to find something - anything - to get him on. This isn’t about Russia anymore, if it ever was. It’s a coup attempt.

It’s hard to believe that the Chief Justice can’t do anything about this crap, maybe he is in on it too.

I think he’s trying to draw financial links between the Trump Organization, Donald Trump Chairman, and Russian state actors.

"I think he’s trying to draw financial links between the Trump Organization, Donald Trump Chairman, and Russian state actors."

That's just the pretense. He wants to get inside Trump's business dealings in general, hoping to find some sort of tax evasion, juggling of the books, or other business-related crime, regardless of whether it has anything to do with Russia. Mueller wants to be a big shot.

I’ve read the Wikipedia articles on Mueller and Rosenstein.

They seem to be dogged professionals and not leftist extremists.

The problem is with excessive laws, not the prosecutors.

What about the Hatfill investigation. Mueller prosecuted the wrong guy to the point where Hatfill eventually committed suicide. Mueller is a vindictive incompetent moron.

"The problem is with excessive laws, not the prosecutors."

It's both. We should not allow special prosecutors to go on fishing expeditions in the absence of any evidence of a crime. The special prosecutor law should be abolished or radically amended and limited.

On the personal side, once someone is named a special prosecutor, he is under enormous pressure to produce indictments, or he will be seen as a failure. It goes to his head, to his ego, he wants to be a big shot, to go down in history, so the investigation keeps getting broader as he desperately looks for a crime.

Then, if no crime is found, he goes back over all the evidence and testimony to find a "process" crime, i.e., some sort of inconsistency in testimony, where he can get someone for perjury, and this will be seen by many as proof that some underlying crime did occur, but that it was successfully covered up.
