When you have an emergency call to a house where you are told that the person inside has guns and is threatening to kill people ( which is what swatting is) the police are unlikely to wait to see if you have a gun. They are going to expect you to follow orders

Good thing no citizens are hard of hearing, have poor eyesight, are confused by three or four coppers shouting conflicting orders, are handicapped, disabled or old and physically not agile, are frightened or startled, have poor eyesight, have no cognitive delay, have perfect balance.

Yeah this cop is a real hero and so brave pit bulls, alligators and pumas die of fright if they get within 44 feet of him.

According to information inside this thread, the victim was shot, on his own porch, by a policeman using a dreaded AR-15, from 44 yards away. Some police (maybe the shooter, too, I couldn't tell), were both armored up and concealed.

This is not a split-second life-or-death scenario for the policeman.

Secondly, what happened to calling the house or trying a hostage negotiator? You know, it used to be the case that was done, to prevent just this kind of thing.
