I'm no historian but it's easy for me to believe that the Founding fathers were motivated by the idea of resistance to government tyranny as the reason the enacted they 2nd Amendment.So I have no problem with this Congresscritter's basic premise.
However,given that he and I very probably have radically different opinions on DJT's job performance and basic philosophy I fear that I will have him,and others,in my cross hairs if civil war should break out.

I agree - with the caveat that the People are obligated to exhaust all legal means to force the president to follow the Constitution before they resort to taking up arms. At its core, it is the same philosophy espoused in the Declaration of Independence.
However, I doubt Mr. Suozzi would have agreed with anyone who made the same statement 7 years ago using the name Obama instead of the name Trump.
