All of the stuff we know, and continuing to come out daily, makes you wonder what Obama did under the radar in 2008 and 2012. Rush just saying Google's Eric Schmidt basically had what amounts to a second office in the WH he visited Obama so often. How did Obama use the FBI, CIA, NSA, Google, Facebook to get reelected in 2012? Hope Sarah Carter and others investigate this later after all the indictments from the current mess are done.

McCabe commented on leaking information to a former Wall Street Journal reporter about the investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, saying he was authorized to “share” the information and did so with the knowledge of “the director,” which would have been Comey at the time.

Turley explained why this is “problematic”:

“If the “interaction” means leaking the information, then McCabe’s statement would seem to directly contradict statements Comey made in a May 2017 congressional hearing. Asked if he had “ever been an anonymous source in news reports about matters relating to the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation” or whether he had “ever authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports about the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation,” Comey replied “never” and “no.””

Isn’t possible to reconcile McCabe’s statement and Comey’s testimony?

McCabe stated that he was one of the few people who could authorized a leak. And he said Comey was aware of it. But he did not say that he sought or obtained authorization from Comey.

Comey told Congress that he did not authorize a leak. But he was not asked — “Do you know of anyone at the FBI that authorized a leak.”

This tautology doesn’t work in the main. First, it would require Comey to publicly refute McCabe’s claim about leaking with the “knowledge of the Director.” moreover, it misses the larger point behind McCabe’s firing, which few seem to have zeroed in on.

McCabe got the axe for lying “under oath - multiple times” according to the DOJ dismissal. Far more serious.
