Since there are no border controls between the contiguous states, CA violating immigration law doesn't stay within CA borders.
This is precisely why immigration is a federal issue and the CA lawlessness must be stopped.

Canada faces the same problem, where Quebec allows practically anyone speaking French into the province - and then they spread across the country. The Millennium Bomber was one of them (an Algerian), and there was nothing British Columbia could do about Quebec’s policy.
